January can be a tough month for the hospitality industry. Post-Christmas budgets can lead to a lull in restaurant bookings. Here are some savvy strategies to attract diners and keep your venue busy this January:

Give your customers a chance to gift their friends a dining voucher for a small but enticing amount, such as $25, creating goodwill and future business. For those December and January birthdays (we know they suck), extend the celebrations into January. Offer a special deal for groups of three or more, where the birthday person dines for free in January (when they show proof of D.O.B.).
